You might be wondering, “doesn’t she already have a blog that we never see anymore?” and you’d be completely right.

For those who don’t know, I started a blog two years ago called The Veggie Insider. I had a few posts, but I never felt truly happy or satisfied with it. I could give a million excuses as to why I gave up on it, or rather let it go, but what it really came down to is lack of motivation. I found myself feeling trapped and like I had so much more to say than just what food I ate and why. I simply got bored very quickly.

And (surprise!) I’m no longer vegetarian.

I made the decision to start eating white meat again (chicken and turkey) after almost two years of eating a plant-based diet with dairy because again, I was bored. It also didn’t feel healthy anymore and it was hard to go out to eat or attend family functions without feeling anxious.

I’m considering Mylah & Mav my “rebrand” in hopes that I can share all aspects of my life instead of restricting myself to one topic. So cheers to new beginnings!

I chose Mylah & Mav because my animals are the center of my world and they give me a sense of belonging and purpose, which is what I hope this blog will be as well. Even when they aren’t cooperating or start to misbehave, they always put a smile on my face and make me the happiest version of myself. (Don’t worry Nick, you do that too.) And I can’t forget about my sweet cat Elly (aka Smells). She’s my day-one and has been with me for nearly four years now. I couldn’t fit them all in a blog name, but know that she’s just as important.

I’m excited about this new journey and hope you’ll be here to follow along with me and my little Fur Fam.

Positive vibes always,

M + M
